Rich Nichols
Richard M. Nichols, P.C.
In 2004, as an outgrowth of his representation of Olympic and World Champion Marion Jones in the infamous BALCO doping scandal, Rich Nichols created his niche Legal Crisis Management & Communications. For 22 years, Rich has discretely represented high-profile individuals in sports and business facing media driven legal crisis that if not managed and messaged properly could have a disastrous impact on their respective brand, reputation and for public companies, valuations. Notably, in order for a crisis management professional to provide effective service to their clients, the client must give the communications professional access to the clients confidential information. As a result, in a "bet the farm" corporate crisis, or a high-stakes federal criminal investigation, the communications professionals are often the first to receive subpoenas. Importantly, Rich provides what crisis communications firms can't give a client...the all important attorney-client privilege that compels Rich to keep the clients' confidential information, confidential. Notably, Rich represented the United States Women's National Soccer Team in their decades-long "equal pay crisis" with the United States Soccer Federation.
